Let’s Talk about Body Contouring

Although body contouring is gaining popularity, many are still uncertain regarding the ins-and-outs of options for this non-invasive procedure. There are quite a few different types of body contouring techniques, and they all use a different primary method to accomplish a slimmer waist. Today we will be talking exclusively about CoolSculpting®, SculpSure®, and Kybella®. Below is the information you need to discover which of these treatment options is best suited for you and your needs.

What Is Body Contouring?

Body contouring is the act of removing fat from the body without the need for invasive surgery. Typically speaking, some form of damage is done to the fat cells, causing them to empty their contents and die off. The process is relatively safe, and it can be completed in just a matter of minutes. In fact, almost all body contouring methods can be done in under an hour.

CoolSculpting®

CoolSculpting® is pretty self explanatory. Extreme cold is used in CoolSculpting®. The doctor will use this cold to penetrate the outer layer of the skin and reach the fatty deposits. The cold eventually kills off the unwanted fat cells and leaves you with a slimmer stomach.

SculpSure®

SculpSure® takes the opposite approach of CoolSculpting®. SculpSure® uses a laser to heat up problem areas, accomplishing the same goal as CoolSculpting®. Both of these methods are very effective at removing fat cells.

Kybella®

Kybella® uses deoxycholic acid. It is a naturally-occurring acid in the body, and it is used to target fat and break it down. Unlike other forms of body contouring, instead of expensive devices being used an injection is done. The acid is injected into the body and in just a few weeks the fat will be broken down and expelled from the body.

Who Is a Good Candidate for Body Contouring?

Anyone who suffers from slight fat deposits in certain areas is a good candidate. The thighs, neck, chest, stomach, and love handles are just a few places that can be treated with body contouring.

People who are severely overweight are not candidates for body contouring. Other forms of weight loss, such as liposuction or diet, are much better options for those with extreme weight issues.
