Who Should Consider Lip Blushing?

Your lips are the number one attraction on your face. Lipstick can be used to enhance the beauty of our lips in a subtle or dramatic way. Applying makeup everyday can be tedious, especially when it comes to lipstick. Over the course of the day you drink, eat, and move your lips, which can cause the pigment to fade or smudge. There’s an easier and better way to make sure your lips stay perfectly pretty all day long; it’s called lip blushing.

Lip blushing is a semi-permanent procedure to enhance your lips natural color. This provides your lips with a boost of both color and vitality. This means you can leave your lipstick at home because the new youthful and fresh vitality is maintained naturally. You will not have to worry about your lipstick wearing off, being smudged, or ending up on your teeth. This treatment has become very popular for defining the contours of the lips and adding color to lips that are naturally pale. You can instantly have a dramatic new look.

The pigments come in an extremely wide variety of different shades. The colors were created to match every preference and lip color, provide subtle shape and color definition, effectively camouflage scars and correct any asymmetry. The end result is very similar to the subtle look of matte lipstick.

The Lip Blushing Treatment

You will work with Christopher Drummond, our resident lip blushing expert, to choose the color that will best suit your lips. The pigments you chose are then blended. A very fine needle is used through a hand held electronic device to apply the pigment into your skin. This treatment requires a little more time than some of the other procedures, but the result is worth the additional time.

It is important to note the density of the color will appear much stronger right after the procedure. Within three or four days, the color will fade and resemble what you were anticipating. As with all treatments using semi-permanent makeup, a touch-up treatment is recommended. You need to wait until the lip liner base is completely healed prior to having the blush created. This usually takes six to twelve weeks after you have completed the procedure. At this time you can make your appointment.

This is an excellent method for correcting an imbalance in symmetry, adding color to your lips to complement your skin tone and having a completely symmetrical and colorful lip line. Research has established that when your lips appear firmer and fuller, it will create a more youthful appearance.
