Board-Certified Dermatologist

Dr. Karen Landau is a board-certified dermatologist who has been treating patients on the Upper East Side of Manhattan for more than thirty years. She is known for her easy manner with patients, accessibility, and her expertise in medical, pediatric, and cosmetic dermatology.

Dr. Landau graduated from Boston University School of Medicine, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. She completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City and achieved her board certification in internal medicine. She then performed a dermatology residency at Mount Sinai, where she was chosen to be chief resident. Her dermatology board certification followed. Her dual specialties give her a unique perspective on treating the entire patient.

Dr. Landau is on staff at The Mount Sinai Medical Center, where she has volunteered for years mentoring junior dermatologists and providing care to patients in the community. She derives enormous gratification in seeing her mentees go on to successful careers in all aspects of dermatology and is proud of her many teaching awards.

Dr. Landau is an intrepid traveler, an avid reader, and a collector of Asian and Middle Eastern art. She considers her highest achievement to be raising her multi-talented daughter.
