Dr. Paul Jarrod Frank is proud to be one of the first cosmetic doctors in the US to tighten skin and reduce acne scars with Infini. This breakthrough technology combines two technologies, radiofrequency and microneedling, to deliver focused energy to precise depths in the skin and stimulate collagen production exactly where it is needed.

Infini is ideal for anyone who wants to look their best without undergoing an invasive surgery or painful laser treatment. Unlike some lasers, this non-surgical procedure can treat people of all skin colors and types.

Infini Treats a Variety of Skin Conditions

Dr. Frank uses Infini to address specific skin problems as well as for overall skin rejuvenation. Infini is often recommended to correct:

As the technology becomes more widespread, we may find other applications for Infini. Some physicians have even begun experimenting with Infini to address hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) of the armpits, which demonstrates just how versatile this technology is.

How Infini Works

Radiofrequency has been used in cosmetic medicine for over 10 years. It works by heating the skin within a targeted area, to a level in which the skin is stimulated to produce new collagen. In theory, RF technology sounds promising; however, the way in which the energy is traditionally delivered (from the outside in) limits the RF treatments.

Infini is unique because it leverages microneedling to deliver RF energy directly into the dermis at the precise depth. These tiny needles create microscopic tunnels in the skin, allowing the energy to reach deeper layers. Microneedling is also one of the solutions that Dr.Frank employs for collagen induction, so Infini is truly a dual approach to increasing collagen and reducing the effects of time.

Infini Treatment in Our New York Office

At the beginning of the treatment, Dr. Frank will apply a topical numbing gel to the treatment area to reduce discomfort. Then he will position the Infini handpiece over the targeted area on your face and calibrate the device to target specific skin layers. The microneedles will penetrate the skin and the radiofrequency energy will be delivered directly into the dermis. Several passes over each area of the face are performed during each treatment session.

Recovery Time

The downtime following Infini is relatively short, especially compared to comparable laser treatments. Immediately following the treatment, your skin will appear bright red and will remain mildly red or pink for at least the next 24 hours. After 24 hours, makeup can be applied to conceal any lingering redness. In the following three to five days, the skin may feel dry, rough, tight and flakey. Most of our patients are able to resume all normal activities within two days, but some remain at home for as long as five days, based upon the extent of their treatment.

What Type of Results Can I Expect?

Most patients begin to see positive changes in their skin within a few weeks of their first treatment session. The full result is typically seen within three to six months of the final session, when collagen production has reached its peak*. Most of our patients require two to five treatment sessions to achieve their aesthetic goals*. Ideally, treatments will be performed every four weeks so collage induction can begin and the skin can recover from the prior treatment.
